On today's Nerdist News, host Jessica Chobot looks at the one thing fans seemed to agree on in 2018: the shipping of Rey and Kylo Ren, whose intergalactic connection in The Last Jedi led to one of Tumblr's most popular pairings this year. We say "seemed" because some fans are, of course, opposed to the pairing; some even verbally attack and threaten Reylo shippers. But for those who support Rey and Kylo Ren, why is it such a hit? And is it possible that the two characters' potential to be each other's greatest enemy and greatest love might be enough to unite not just them, but fans on both sides of the Star Wars split? It remains to be seen if Reylo will really happen, let alone if it could reunite the fans. But at least we can all agree on one thing: everybody liked shirtless Kylo. What do you think? Will Reylo save the fanbase-o? Tell us in the comments below why you either want to see them end up together or see them tear each other apart.
