The social media reactions for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse have arrived, and to say the lucky few who got a an early look at Sony’s ambitious animated film thought it was spectacular is not hyperbole. It’s clear that the majority of those who saw it flipped for the big screen introduction of Miles Morales, with some even saying it is the best Spider-Man movie of all time. Yes, even better than Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man: Homecoming, in the opinions of many! Here’s a round-up of just some of the responses that are out there, starting with our very own Dan Casey’s:
You have a great responsibility to yourself to see Spider-Man: Into the #SpiderVerse at your earliest covenience. It is one of my favorite films of the year & maybe my favorite Spidey movie period. Heartfelt, hilarious, and packed with seriously buckwild visuals. pic.twitter.com/GR5uhtWanT

I can finally talk about ‘Into the #Spiderverse’! It’s one of the best films of the year. It’s the best Spider-Man movie thus far. The acting amongst the cast was incredible. Everyone is going to love this movie.

#Intothespiderverse is one of the best films of the years. The team did an amazing job. They successfully built a whole cinematic universe within one movie while still focusing on Miles Morales. The animation style was unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. #SpiderVerse pic.twitter.com/IMJVuQkDvp

Into the #SpiderVerse somehow expands the character’s mythos and distills his spirit down to its essence all at once. I can’t wait to see it 20 more times. pic.twitter.com/gkNOF7MprK

#SpiderVerse is hands down the best animated movie of the year, possibly even the best superhero movie of the year, which is not an accolade I give lightly with Infinity War in the running. It’s SO stylish and SO beautiful and SO funny. The entire thing is incredibly special.

“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” is so creative, fun, and one of the best spidey films to date. An engaging story that opens up the universe and puts the animation to great use and advances the medium. My favorite animated film this year! #IntoTheSpiderVerse #SpiderVerse pic.twitter.com/xXiwnx9XKh

#SpiderVerse is easily the best Spider-Man movie since Spider-Man 2.
Hilarious, tragic, dynamic, unlike anything else in superhero cinema, and a convincing argument that there can and SHOULD be multiple interpretations of any great character.Full review coming tomorrow! pic.twitter.com/7MSL0UcJF3— William Bibbiani (@WilliamBibbiani) November 28, 2018
#SpiderVerse is creative & clever, finding brilliance in irreverence, playing around with lore & rules of the universes. Not only does it establish itself with its distinct aesthetics, it keeps character at the forefront of the action. #IntoTheSpiderVerse pic.twitter.com/iu84MhD79C
