This Spicy Cinnamon Toast Crunch Will Confuse Your Taste Buds

Spicy cereal? Sure, why not. I didn’t ask for it, but I would try it. That’s what General Mills is counting on with its newest version of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. CinnaFuego Toast Crunch adds heat to the well-known cereal. They go on sale at Walmart.com for a limited time starting August 12, 2022. They come in a small resealable pouch rather than a typical cereal box, but whether you snack on the squares or actually pour milk over them is up to you.

The spicy cereal, which we learned about on Business Wire, is just one of many iterations of Cinnamon Toast Crunch in existence. There are a lot more versions than I realized! Chocolate and dulce de leche flavors as well as ones in the shape of churros or cinnamon rolls. Plus coffee creamer and hot chocolate mix! The brand’s Instagram page is full of these and other wacky products and recipes. Which one are you most likely to munch on?

“CTC is always looking to give our fans the most absurd and exciting experiences,” said Mindy Murray, senior marketing communications manager for General Mills. “So when we were thinking about what to do next, we realized snack time was a moment that could be spiced up. We can’t wait for CTC lovers to try CinnaFuego, and if they dare, eat it with some milk for breakfast.”

This is only the latest novelty to add to the already epic amount of options in the cereal aisle. There’s also Tropicana Crunch, a cereal made to pair with orange juice and one flavored like a Wendy’s chocolate frosty. And who could forget about the  Froot Loops pizza?
