Sophie Turner is opening up about her highly-anticipated role as adventurer Lara Croft in Prime Video’s Tomb Raider series. The show recently revealed its stacked cast, including Sigourney Weaver, and some character information as well. During a recent interview on The Julia Cunningham Show, Sophie Turner said that the Tomb Raider scripts are under tighter security than the ones she had for Game of Thrones. That’s incredibly wild to imagine, but it’s true.
“It’s more… it’s crazier security than Game of Thrones,” she revealed. “Yeah, it’s crazy. I mean, in order to access any scripts, I have to, like you did with the Steal stuff, but times it by 10. There’s a million log-ins, a million face, you know, the face recognition thing.”
Having to use facial recognition to read a script seems outlandish. But in a world where people are constantly leaking scripts, photos, trailers, and everything else to spoil fans’ experiences, it sadly seems kinda necessary.
Sophie Turner Has Trained Intensely for a YEAR for Her Tomb Raider Series

Turner also detailed the training process to become Lara Croft, saying that she’s been at it for eight hours a day, five days a week since February 2025.
“I’ve learned I have a perpetual back problem, but I also realized that it’s much easier to kind of build muscle if you’ve ever worked out before in your life, which I never had, so it has taken me months and months and months to get into good shape,” Turner said. “That’s what I’ve learned.”
It must feel good to be the one who gets to have the physical upper hand after playing Sansa Stark. While many GOT characters got to slay countless enemies and wield weapons, that wasn’t how Sansa’s arc went. We cannot wait to see Sophie Turner in Tomb Raider, and hope that there are no spoilers thanks to those scripts under tight security.
