The time has come, the Pikachu said, to meet a brand new set of Starter Pokémon. Yes, with the announcement of two new Pokémon games: Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves, we officially have our Gen 10 Starter Pokémon: Browt, Pombon, and Gecqua. And, naturally, they are as ADORABLE as ever. But what do we know about these Winds and Waves Starter Pokémon so far? Well, enough to know we love them! The Gen 10 Starter Pokémon Are Here
The Gen 10 Starter Pokémon have arrived. And as always, Pokémon Winds and Waves offers you three Starter Pokémon to choose from: one Grass type, one Fire type, and one Water type. This time around, we appear to have a chick, a puppy, and a gecko in play. Outstanding. You can take a look at all three of Pokémon Winds and Waves‘ Starter Pokémon together above and below, and then learn about Browt, Pombon, and Gecqua individually.

Meet Browt, Pokémon Winds and Waves’ Grass-type Starter Pokémon
The first one of our Gen 10 Starter Pokémon is Browt. Browt is our Earth-type Starter Pokémon, and it’s a “Bean Chick Pokémon.” We stan. This adorable bird Pokémon “runs about energetically while photosynthesizing using the leaves on its brow. It’s lively, but it can also be a bit clumsy.” It’s an odd chick, not to be confused with an odd duck. Browt’s ability is “overgrow” and it’s a teeny tiny creature.

What Does Browt Evolve Into?
We bet Browt will sprout a whole bean plant on its head and start to look more like a chicken. But for now, we don’t know exactly what Pokémon Browt will evolve into.

Meet Pombon, Pokémon Winds and Waves’ Fire-type Starter Pokémon
Next up is Pombon, an instant favorite. Pombon is our Fire-type Gen 10 Starter Pokémon. It’s a “Puppy Pokémon.” Yes, we are cooing from this cuteness. The official description of Pombon shares, “The area below its throat glows faintly from the heat-generating organ within its lungs. This Pokémon is guileless and friendly.” Head empty, just cute. This Pokémon Winds and Waves Starter Pokémon’s ability is “Blaze.” Pombon weighs about 15 pounds, so yes, you can probably carry it around! Just make sure it doesn’t overheat.

What Does Pombon Evolve Into?
Pombon’s mane will most likely get even bigger, but we bet this Pokémon will stay adorable in every evolutionary form. For now, though, we don’t know what Pokémon Pombon will evolve into.

Meet Gecqua, Pokémon Winds and Waves’ Water-type Starter Pokémon
Last is our water-type Pokémon Winds and Waves Starter Pokémon, Gecqua. Gecqua is a “Water Gecko Pokémon.” We get kind of a sly feeling from this little guy and we’re right to feel that way. Gecqua “launches springy balls of water from its tail. Gecqua is very intelligent and maneuvers shrewdly while putting on airs.” Honestly, an icon AND a diva. Gecqua’s ability is “Torrent.”

What Does Gecqua Evolve Into?
Gecqua’s evolutions will likely get slyer and more dangerous. But at the moment, we don’t know exactly what Pokémon Gecqua will become when it evolves.

Our Next Pokémon Games Are Coming Soon
