OBI-WAN KENOBI Trailer Teases Darth Vader and the Battle Ahead

We already knew it wasn’t going to be an easy time for our favorite Jedi in the upcoming Disney+ limited series bearing his name. But our most recent trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi reveals the epic and intense scope of the battle ahead. Obi-Wan is on the run, the forces of evil are closing in, allies are few, and however hard he tries to stay hidden, it doesn’t look like it’s going to work.

Honestly, the hardest part of Obi-Wan’s struggle feels like the idea that his friends have abandoned him, refusing to help him train Luke and calling out his failures. But the enemy is no slouch either. Especially not Moses Ingram’s vicious Inquisitor Reva and the fearsome Grand Inquisitor.

But, of course, the shadow that haunts Obi-Wan the most comes in the form of some rattling breaths we hear toward the end of the trailer. “You can’t escape him,” Reva calls after Obi-Wan. And she’s right. Darth Vader is back in action. And it looks like he wants a touching reunion.

The newly released poster for Obi-Wan Kenobi crystallizes this conflict.

The official description for Obi-Wan Kenobi‘s trailer reminds us of what’s to come, sharing:

The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader. The series stars Ewan McGregor, reprising his role as the iconic Jedi Master, and also marks the return of Hayden Christensen in the role of Darth Vader. Joining the cast are Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie.
