In a statement, The Art of Soundtrack’s author Todd Gilchrist said “The book serves as a timeline for the rise in popularity of vinyl not just as a format but a work of art unto itself, and a collectible. At a time when media is being increasingly digitized, vinyl provides a physical totem commemorating fandom and celebrating the movies and entertainment important to our lives. Of course, it looks cool. But it’s also a keepsake we can experience over and over again.”
