New MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE Barbies Are Powerfully Gorgeous

Back in the ’80s, Mattel’s Masters of the Universe figures ruled the boys’ toy aisle. Meanwhile, their iconic Barbie reigned over the girls’ toy aisle like a hot pink monarch. But the two popular Mattel brands never crossed over, as boys’ and girls’ toys never mixed back then. Luckily, we have evolved as a society. So at last, we are getting a pair of Barbie dolls from their Barbie Signature Collection based on heroic warriors, He-Man and Teela. These collectible dolls are designed to resemble actors Nick Galitzine and Camila Mendes from the upcoming Masters of the Universe live-action film. You can check out the first images down below in our gallery:

With these new additions to the Barbie Signature Collection, fans can celebrate these iconic characters in both play and display form. This collectible He-Man doll stands tall in themed battle gear. He is fully prepared to defend Castle Grayskull in his chest harness, loincloth, boots, and holding his Power Sword. Of course, he has his iconic Prince Valiant haircut, meaning he has rooted blonde hair just as he should. The collectible Teela doll does justice to the Captain of the Eternian Royal Guard. Teela wears her premium battle gear. She’s all prepared to protect Prince Adam in her classic jumpsuit, boots, sword, and armor with golden details. Both of these dolls go for $55 each.

Will we get more iconic Masters of the Universe Barbies if these prove to be a hit? Skeletor and Evil-Lyn seem like no-brainers for the deluxe Barbie treatment. If that bony guy can get a Monster High doll, why not a Barbie doll too? They’ll be the prettiest villains in the realm. In the meantime, the He-Man and Teela Masters of the Universe Signature Barbie doll collectibles should arrive in retail stores sometime this spring, ahead of the film’s release this summer.

Masters of the Universe arrives in movie theaters on June 5.
