Marvel Confirms DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN Ends With Third Season

Marvel just officially confirmed during their NYCC 2026 Marvel Television and Marvel Animation panel that The Man Without Fear is now The Man Without a Fourth Season. Daredevil: Born Again will end with its third season, scheduled to air in March of 2027 on Disney+.

The show took a major hit in streaming views from its first season to its second, with viewership declining by half, according to tracking firm Luminate (via ComicBook). Adding in the departure of Dario Scardapane in the middle of post-production for season three, many suspected that the death knell might be right around the corner. With Daredevil: Born Again‘s second season ending on the cliffhanger of Matt Murdock getting carted off to prison, it leads fans to wonder what direction the show will go in for its final season.

The Defenders assembled at the panel to talk about their formal reunion in season three, with Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock), Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones), and Finn Jones (Danny Rand) making an appearance. Mike Colter was unable to attend, but is reprising his role as Luke Cage in Daredevil’s final season. During the panel, Charlie Cox seemed thrilled about their reunion, saying “The first time we were all back together, it was like 2016 all over again.”

But what else will Marvel Studios say about Daredevil season 3? Who will step in as showrunner for the show’s final days of production? Is the decision to cancel the show due to low viewer engagement, or does Marvel simply want to go in a different creative direction as they march towards Avengers: Doomsday? Will Daredevil be in Avengers: Secret Wars? Can we get the Netflix series back now, please? (Probably not.) You’ll know when we know. Stay tuned for more…
