It feels like we’ve been waiting a long time for Thor: Love and Thunder‘s full trailer to release. In fact, it may be the longest amount of time we’ve waited for an MCU trailer to appear. Thor: Love and Thunder‘s release date is just around the corner, after all. But we shouldn’t feel too surprised. After all, our first glimpses of Thor: Love and Thunder revealed to us a Thor who isn’t in any rush to get into the action. No, Thor is now in zen-mode, ready for a break. So, he’s been a little slow to get us our trailer. But it’s finally here, let’s take a look.
The first item on the table is very important. Taika Waititi swears that we will see Thor’s full behind when the movie airs, not just the pixelated version we get in the trailer. He shared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, “In the movie, it’s not pixelated, though. You get the full Hems’ Worth. The full worthiness!… With Chris, he’s worked so hard on that,” Waititi continues. “It’s so many squats! It’d be depriving humanity if I didn’t show that.”
But, of course, Thor: Love and Thunder‘s trailer isn’t short on other action either. And although Thor may want a break, it doesn’t look like a break is in the cards for him, or anyone around him. Not with Christian Bale’s Gorr the God Butcher on the prowl. Our new Thor: Love and Thunder villain only wants gods one way, dead. And that’s bad news for Thor.
The good news for Thor? He’s got help in all kinds of places. From the Guardians of the Galaxy to Jane Foster’s Mighty Thor to King Valkyrie, this movie isn’t short on heroes at all. And honestly, if we had to stop a killer of gods, we’d look to a Mighty Thor and King of New Asgard team-up. That duo looks like it has it covered.
Alongside Thor: Love and Thunder‘s trailer, we have also received a new synopsis for the film.
It shares:
A new trailer and poster are now available for Marvel Studios’ “Thor: Love and Thunder,” revealing new details about the God of Thunder’s latest adventure—including a trek to Olympus where Zeus (Russell Crowe) reigns supreme. The film finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a search for self-discovery. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late. Marvel Studios
