Lost in Space has always been a family affair. And season two of Netflix’s take on the classic ’60s sci-fi series ended with the possibility of an unexpected reunion decades in the making. A meeting that could bring Judy face-to-face with a relative long lost himself. But with hope comes danger, especially for Will Robinson. The teaser for the show’s third and final season promises the Robinson family’s last adventure will be their most treacherous one yet. They’ll need all they help they can get to survive. Especially if any of them want to make it home.
But it’s not all evil robots and explosions. Some things are always great even when you’re blindly traveling the cosmos. The first official images for season three also include everyone’s favorite intergalactic chicken.
This third season, which showrunner Zack Estrin has previously said was “always viewed” as a trilogy, looks ready to deliver one explosive farewell. As Will Robinson is ready to risk everything to save his family. And this action-packed announcement teaser shows what that will take. He and everyone else will face more dangers than ever before.

Netflix has also released the first photos from the final season. Four are intense images that capture the stress and challenges our favorite lost travelers will face. From group meetings and mysterious encounters on a strange new world, Will isn’t the only one who must act.

Then there’s one of Don West chilling with Debbie, his good luck chicken.

If we’ve said it once we’ve said it a thousand times: if you’re lost in space make sure you’re family is with you. That or your best chicken friend. Either/or.
Lost in Space stars Toby Stephens, Molly Parker, Maxwell Jenkins, Mina Sundwall, Taylor Russell, and Ignacio Serricchio. And features the Robot as himself. One person not seen in this teaser, though, is Parker Posey’s June. She seemingly sacrificed herself in the season two finale after learning the value of family. But we’re not convinced she’s really gone. The show could end with her not showing up ever again and we’d still think she somehow lived.
When you’re adrift in the vastness of space keep your family close. But maybe try to stay away from any con artists.
Lost in Space‘s final season premieres on Netflix on December 1, 2021.
