Who wouldn’t want more of Keanu Reeves as John Wick? But as always with actors in long-running roles, there may not always be a next time. John Wick: Chapter 4 left an ending open to interpretation, though, so a return for Keanu Reeves in John Wick: Chapter 5 could always happen. But it seems we will most likely next see Keanu Reeves as John Wick in other franchise spinoffs. Reeves is already set to appear in the Ana de Armas-led John Wick movie Ballerina. So why not other parts of the world?
Here’s what Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Chair Joe Drake told Deadline:
We’re not ready to say goodbye to Keanu [Reeves] with this franchise. It’s what alternative there will be… There’s a lot of different things that we can do… I’ve seen this movie five times in the last week. I can see the way that the audience moves him.
And, Reeves, of course, moves the audience as a true fan favorite. By all accounts, the actor’s performance in John Wick: Chapter 4 was the best one yet. This, of course, leaves audiences watching more. With no one ready to say goodbye, we can’t wait to see where John Wick will end up next.
