Reese’s Largest Peanut Butter Cup Ever Is a Pie-Sized Treat

The Hershey Company only recently announced a new Super King pack of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. It’s six pieces of sweet treats equalling out to a foot of deliciousness. And now it’s already being overshadowed. Because this year the candy company is celebrating Thanksgiving in a big way. The biggest way it ever has actually. It’s selling its largest Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup ever. A pie-sized beauty that will make the lucky people who score one the best guest at every Turkey Day gathering.

I know, because Hershey sent me one. And it’s one of the best things my hungry eyes have ever seen.

Reese’s new Peanut Butter Cup Thanksgiving Pie is really a monster-sized version of the iconic candy. But since you’ll need to slice it up to actually eat it, this pretty much is a pie. One that measures 9-inches in diameter and weighs 3.4 pounds. Yeah, 3.4 pounds of pure Reese’s peanut butter and chocolate. “They should have sent a poet.” Fortunately for me, they didn’t bother with any poets. They just sent me a Reese’s pie instead. And my goodness it looks even more glorious than it sounds. As a well-known Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup lover I promise it lives up to its oversized expectations.

“When you bring together friends and family for Thanksgiving dinner, no table spread is complete without dessert,” said Bo Jones, senior associate brand manager at Reese’s, in a statement. “At Reese’s, we wanted to create a dessert that everyone wants a piece of. You can thank us later.”

There won’t be many of these giant pie-cups available though. (At least this year. We hope this becomes a yearly tradition.) Only 3,000 of these record-setting candies will be for sale “while supplies last.” Which we expect will be for about 40 seconds. If you hope to be one of the lucky few to also nab one ($44.99), head to The Hershey Company’s official website.

Sure, trying to get one will add some stress to the holiday season. A time of year that certainly doesn’t need any more than it already has. But think about how good your fellow Turkey Day diners will feel if you bring one of these over. Dessert is already the best part of Thanksgiving. But this year it could be bigger and better than ever.
