According to Deadline, the duo will produce and star in Kenan & Kel Meet Frankenstein, a horror comedy film that will shoot this summer. That sounds like a good time and, depending on how long post-production takes, we could even get the film for this year’s spooky season.
Kenan & Kel Meet Frankenstein is about two delivery drivers who find themselves in peril when they pull up at a weird and creepy castle and awaken a monster. The night quickly goes from being a normal one to a fight to save their lives. And of course, there will be lots of funny moments to keep things light-hearted.
Kenan announced his new horror comedy film with Kel on Prime Video’s Good Sports and released a statement saying, “Kel and I have always loved finding new ways to work together, and this project felt like the perfect mix of nostalgia, comedy, and something completely unexpected. We’re excited to bring a fresh take on a classic monster story and have some fun doing it.”
Kel Mitchell also expressed his excitement about this news. “Coming back together always feels natural, and this lets us tap into everything people love about our dynamic while trying something totally new. It’s funny, it’s scary, and it’s a great ride.”
We can’t wait to see who else will star in this film and when Kenan & Kel Meet Frankenstein will hit theaters. The last time the duo came together was for Good Burger 2 back in 2023, so it’s time for another weird adventure.
