Generations Unite in First JURASSIC WORLD DOMINION Trailer

They’re back! And we don’t just mean dinosaurs. The first trailer for Jurassic World Dominion marks the reunion of three beloved stars from the franchise’s first film. Ellie Sattler, Alan Grant, and Ian Malcolm will come together to help a new generation deal with a problem of prehistoric proportions. Those beasts broke free of their island cage and now they’re running rampant around the world. And they’re not just a threat to mankind’s way of life. Those dinos could mark the end of humanity forever.

This absolutely loaded trailer starts off on a bit of a silly note. It features Chris Pratt’s Owen Grady on horseback herding some free range dinos. He’s still doing his gentle nose touch thing too, which is especially funny when he’s dressed like a cowboy. His insistence on treating raptors like puppies continues. But from there this promo goes all out in the best way. Dinosaurs are anywhere and everywhere you’ll find people across the globe. (Though no longer at the Olympics.) Some are gentle giants. Others are dangerous carnivores. But all of them represent an existential danger. The kind that will get an old crew out of retirement for one last epic job.

Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and Sam Neill will be more than just cameos in this movie. All three will play a major role working with Pratt’s Grady and Bryce Dallas Howard’s Claire Dearing. And if you’re a fan of this franchise, seeing those three return is a pretty incredible moment. So long as none of them get eaten. They’ve made it so long without being dino dinner! Do do them like that now!

Other returning stars from the series include BD Wong (and his amazing hair) as Dr. Henry Wu, Justice Smith as Franklin Webb, Daniella Pineda as Dr. Zia Rodriguez, and Omar Sy as Barry Sembenè. They’re joined by newcomers DeWanda Wise (She’s Gotta Have It), Mamoudou Athie (Archive 81), Dichen Lachman (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Scott Haze (Minari), and Campbell Scott (The Amazing Spider-Man 2).

Directed by Colin Trevorrow, with a script from him and Emily Carmichael, Jurassic World Dominion comes to theaters this summer, June 10. Because life is not the only thing that finds a way. Profitable movie franchises with generations of fans do too.
