JURASSIC WORLD Won’t Have A Bacon Volcano But This Salad Does

God creates dinosaurs. Dinosaurs eat man. A bacon volcano rules the earth. I’m pretty sure that’s the history of the universe in a nutshell. We’ve made it a reality with this robust salad tribute to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and all of the classic Jurassic Park films.

Our scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn’t stop to think if they should, but when it comes to bacon, it’s always a yes. This Cobb Salad is filled with healthy greens, veggies, and even a dinosaur shaped egg for good measure. The centerpiece of this Jurassic extravaganza is a crispy bacon volcano, exploding in sriracha, ready to inflict damage upon the enemies of salad.

Jurassic World Dinosaur Cobb Salad

You’ll need:
Dinosaur egg mold
Large glass bowl
5 leaves dinosaur kale
Heat-proof pyramid mold

Ingredients:
1 egg
4-5 slices bacon
1 cup butter lettuce
1 cup romaine lettuce
1/2 cup kale
1 cup chicken, cooked and diced
1 small tomato, diced
1/4 cup blue cheese, crumbled
1/2 cup avocado, peeled, pitted, and diced
1 Tablespoon chives, minced
Vinaigrette dressing
Sriracha

Place egg in a saucepan, just covering with water. Bring to a boil, then turn off the heat. Cover with a lid, and let sit undisturbed for 12 minutes.

Ready a bowl with ice water.

Remove the egg from the saucepan, plunge into the ice bath for a few seconds – let cool slightly – be careful, it’s still hot. Place the peeled egg inside the dinosaur egg shaper, locking to close, then immerse into the ice bath to cool. When cool, remove from ice bath and keep in the refrigerator until ready to use.

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Prep a pan by lining it with foil and placing a wire rack on top. Place the pyramid mold in the center. Wrap the bacon slices around the mold, securing with toothpicks if necessary. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the bacon is crispy.

Assemble the lettuces in the bowl. Top with, chicken, tomato, blue cheese, avocado, and chives.

Place the bacon volcano into the bowl, and place the dinosaur molded egg.

Decorate with dinosaur kale, and pour sriracha onto the bacon volcano. Serve with vinaigrette.

More snacks to try!
