Joe Russo Says Victor Von Doom Is ‘The Greatest Marvel Villain of All-Time’

CinemaCon 2026 brought big Marvel Studios energy to Disney’s special presentation. The event closed out the way that attendees thought it would with an epic trailer for Avengers: Doomsday. The Russo brothers, Kevin Feige, Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans all hit the stage for some commentary as the crowd buzzed with excitement. Feige first addressed the crowd before bringing out Joe and Anthony Russo to talk about what’s next for the MCU. Joe Russo himself called RDJ’s Victor Von Doom “the greatest Marvel villain of all-time,” even stressing that he’s better than Thanos.

Russo continued with his thoughts, saying that Doom is one of the most complex Marvel characters who is a scientist, technologist, a magician, and a genius.
