THE MAGICIANS’ Jason Ralph Should Totally Play Milo in ATLANTIS

Disney has been rocking our world by bringing us live-action remakes of their classic cartoons. With perfect takes on the animated stories we grew up with like Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, and the upcoming Mulan, Dumbo, Aladdin, and the sort-of live action Lion King, it’s basically a matter of time before all of our favorite Disney cartoons get brought into the 3D world, right? Right. With that in mind, our own Editor-in-Chief Rachel Heine noticed someone who would be perfect in a live-action remake of Atlantis: The Lost Empire during last night’s Golden Globes.

How perfect is The Magicians‘ Jason Ralph as Milo, right? Of course, the fancasting didn’t stop there. @CapSteveRogers suggested Terry Crews as Dr. Joshua Sweet, which we fully support.

Of course, this is nothing more than fancasting for a live-action adaptation that Disney hasn’t actually said it was going to make. Still, we have a few more humble suggestions for a live-action cast, and maybe it will encourage Disney to actually develop Atlantis into a live-action film. Hey, we can dream, right? If Jason Ralph isn’t available to play Milo, Cole Sprouse has already proven he’s more than up to the task.

Because a live-action Atlantis is something VERY important, Disney, Twitter has been talking about this one for a while. And the name that comes up the most frequently when it comes to a live-action Atlantis is Zendaya as Kida.

This is only a small portion of the cast. We could definitely see Commander Rourke played by Tommy Lee Jones, and Captain Marvel herself, Brie Larson, might make a perfect Helga Sinclair. But what do you think? Tell us your Atlantis: The Lost Empire fancasting ideas in the comments below. And if you need some more Jason Ralph in your life until we all manage to collectively will this live-action Atlantis into reality, you can catch him when The Magicians returns to Syfy on January 23.
