IRONHEART Post-Credits Scene Teases More Dark Magic in the MCU

Ironheart flew to Disney+ last week and now it is over. That’s what happens when you get an entire season in two action-packed chunks. The show’s finale is quite the doozy that pits Riri and her magic fueled suit up against Parker Robbins and his twisted hood. We finally discover that the MCU character we’ve been theorizing about for years is the one who gave him such a deadly gift. And as if things cannot get worse, Riri Williams is now in a dark magic deal with Mephisto, who gave her back her best friend as well as the resources she wants. Ironheart left us on a cliffhanger with Riri and Natalie but we do get a taste of the future, thanks to a post-credits scene.

In the Ironheart post-credits scene, we see a lonely and hoodless Parker walking down the street. He goes to Stanton’s, Madeline’s very magical shop, and Zelma Stanton is working. She does her usual spiel before turning around to see Parker, who says that he needs some heavy-duty magic. Zelma shows off a bit with a candy-changing trick, but Parker says that he needs Supreme help.

Ever the charmer, he says that Zelma can get to know him and they can do a little abracadabra in the special room. There are a couple of ways we can interpret that sentence, but let’s be literal and suitable for work. Zelma is surprised that he knows about the magic room and ponders his request. But she doesn’t give him a reply before this Ironheart post-credits scene ends.

It seems like Zelma would know what Riri’s enemy looks like and also have some discernment, considering her magic powers. Without the hood, Parker is a charming criminal at best. Will that be enough to make them form a duo after this post-credits Ironheart scene? Maybe.

It’s pretty unlikely that Ironheart will get another season because it told a fairly complete story here. However, characters like Riri, Parker, Zelma, Ezekiel, and, of course, Mephisto will surely play larger roles in the MCU’s future. Although the Ironheart post-credits scene teases its specific duo, personally, I need to see Zelma Stanton and Jennifer Kale link up because they have similar energy. Make it happen, Mr. Feige.
