Michael Giacchino Exotic Themes for the Silver Screen – Volume One (CD $16/Vinyl $40)
Oscar-winner Michael Giacchino is one of the most accomplished composers in pop culture history and Mutant put together an amazing collection featuring some of his best songs from film, television, and video games. This track list spans his entire career and includes music he wrote for Lost, Medal of Honor, Star Trek, Up, and more. You can also get it as a CD or on vinyl. Our favorite album pressing is the colorful Mutant Exclusive, but you can’t go wrong with any version.
If you’re looking for another great soundtrack for the music fan in your life Mutant has tons more on both CD and vinyl. That includes some of our favorites from 2024, like Bear McCreary’s The Rings of Power – Season Two score and Tom Holkenborg’s for Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.
Fisher-Price Little People Collector Gremlins Set ($20)
The best thing about Fisher-Price’s pop culture Little People sets is that they can be a great, affordable gift for both kids and adults. That’s because they work as both great toys and great collectibles for your desk or shelf, like with this Gremlins Movie Special Edition collection. (Which we’re partial to since this is a holiday gift guide after all.) Some sets celebrate more adult properties, like The Boys and Breaking Bad, while others will fit into any playroom, like the DC Superfriends and The Wizard of Oz sets. There are too many films, movies, musicians and more to mention, but there is literally a Little People set for everyone.
Jakks The Simpsons Toys ($20-$40)
This year Jakks released some of the best The Simpsons toys to ever hit shelves. From new figures and play sets, to a talking Krusty the Clown doll and a replica phone from Moe’s tavern that plays prank calls, there are lots of fantastic options that will appeal to both longtime and new fans of the series, as well as both kids and adults.
If you’re looking for other toys of beloved pop culture properties Jakks also has a fantastic Sonic the Hedgehog collection that includes a super fun Sonic Tornado Biplane Set. And you can never go wrong getting a kid (or grownup) a dinosaur, and while Mattel has many to choose from, we especially love the gigantic Jurassic World Super Colossal Allosaurus Action Figure.
House of the Dragon Egg Light ($40)
Our thoughts are never far from Westeros, even during the holidays. (How can they be when we’re always hoping one day we’ll get to include The Winds of Winter in a gift guide?) Fortunately there are tons of great items from the Realm to choose from. We’re especially partial to this amazing, very pricey Blackfyre sword replica and the upcoming Official Westeros Cookbook. But out favorite is the House of the Dragon egg light set. It looks great even when it’s off! And if you what something even more high-end you can grab this spectacular House Targaryen sigil LED lamp which we’d simply never turn off.

CASETiFY Batman Bat-Signal Collectible Earbuds Case ($208)
Normally we wouldn’t recommend buying a really heavy case for your wireless headphones. We also wouldn’t typically suggest spending so much on one, either. But CASETiFY has turned earbuds into art by making them double as statues. Our favorite is the awesome Batman Bat-Signal working collectible. It features the Dark Knight perched atop the Bat-Signal which lights up! But we also love CASETiFY’s Iron Man Helmet case. And if you’re looking for other electronics accessories the company has lots of other collaborations you can choose from. Who else is offering a fuzzy Monsters, Inc.
