Guacamole Cheese Is Now a Thing You Can Eat

Some people can’t get enough cheese in their lives. Others can’t get enough guacamole. And then there are those who would love nothing more than to never stop stuffing their faces with both. We call these people dreamers/our role models. But there are only so many hours in a day, and you can’t snack during all of them, at least not until science gets off its collective ass and figures out how we can nosh while we nap. Fortunately, the folks at The Fresh Market care about both our appetites and our need to condense our favorite experiences into smaller and smaller windows, because they are about to start selling guacamole cheese.

Amanti Guacamole Cheese, which we learned about at Travel + Leisure, comes from Holland’s Daily Dairy (and not from the fever dream of a bistro chef in Brooklyn), and will be available for the first time ahead of Cinco de Mayo at all 161 The Fresh Market locations. The cheese, which is guacamole green in color, has a cow’s milk gouda base, which is then blended with avocado, lime juice, chili, tomato, onion, and garlic, giving it the exact look you’d expect from its name.

We’re getting serious queso-vibes from this product, and if it’s as good as queso (though hopefully a little healthier) we expect to see guacamole cheese at just about every gathering we attend. You’ll be able to bring home your own wheel of Amanti Guacamole Cheese for $24.99 per pound (insert your own “guac is extra” joke here), or you will be able buy individual one-pound wedges.

Of course, eating too much cheese and too much guacamole isn’t a new problem for us. The problem, until now, has been that even though we have two hands, we only have one mouth and one stomach.
