Prime Video is quickly becoming a hub for fantasy series: The Wheel of Time, The Rings of Power, and more have all found a home there. And now, Prime Video will take fantasy and up the ante with romantasy. Michael B. Jordan will executive-produce a Fourth Wing live-action series based on the books that is sure to take the world by flame and storm. Remember the Mother of Dragons? Now we have the Mother of Dragons. And we can’t wait to see where this one goes.
Not too long ago, Fourth Wing took over the book world with its mix of fantasy, dystopia, and sexy love story. From world-building to steamy make-out sessions, this series has it all. And yes, when your dragons want to get it on, you want to get it on. So stay tuned for that when the Fourth Wing series hits our screens. But all this to say, it wasn’t exactly a surprise when Prime Video announced it would be making a Fourth Wing series. And we’re glad that it’s now officially ordered direct to series.
Who Is Behind the Prime Video Fourth Wing Series?
Meredith Averill (The Haunting of Hill House, Locke & Key) is adapting Four Wing for television, and will serve as showrunner and executive producer. Lisa Joy, co-founder of Kilter Films and executive producer of the series, is set to direct the Fourth Wing series pilot.
Author Rebecca Yarros will also executive produce. And so will Michael B. Jordan. And honestly, we need a sexy man to lead the sexy dragon series.

There’s definitely no release date information or casting news for Fourth Wing yet. But hopefully this show moves quick!
What Is Fourth Wing?
For those who don’t know, here is the Fourth Wing series’ synopsis: “Violet Sorrengail is forced by her mother to enter the brutal world of Basgiath War College. Based on the fantasy adventure from NYT bestselling author Rebecca Yarros, Violet joins hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders.” We notice that all the sexual tension isn’t mentioned.
