The popular lit RPG series Dungeon Crawler Carl is coming to Peacock in the near future. Fans of the book franchise by Matt Dinniman, who just got the gift of an eighth installment, are excited to see Carl’s bleak and often bizarre world come to life. For now, it is not clear who will star in as any of the main characters. Many folks who dig the Audible versions of the books do love Jeff Hays, who remarkably is the single narrator and voice of ALL the characters. But, if Dungeon Crawler Carl fan Seth Green has it his way, he’d star as Mordecai in the Peacock series.
According to Variety, Green made it known that he’d love to be a part of this upcoming adaptation. But, despite knowing Dinniman and producer Seth MacFarlane, he doesn’t want to use his connections to get the role. That feels a little impossible, even if he goes to a regular ole audition like others. Surely his friends would want to have them in their series for name recognition, right? Green posted artwork of Mordecai, the mentor to Princess Donut and Carl, on his page to note that this is his favorite character. He also tagged his fellow famous pals, too. Green later told Variety during an interview that he would indeed like to play Mordecai in a Dungeon Crawler Carl series.
“So I’ve been aware of this thing for a very long time, and you probably know that Fuzzy Door, Seth McFarlane’s company, who’s a friend of mine, is producing the project,” said Green. “So I guess I’m just making it known that I think I would make a really good Mordecai. I don’t know what their plan is. Nobody’s talked about it. I love Matt Dinniman, and we’ve definitely hung out, but I don’t know if he’ll have much say in it.”

It remains to be seen who will nab certain roles in the show. I can see him as Mordecai, but I’d also argue that he would make a great Quasar. However, that character doesn’t show up until later in the franchise, and with the way that shows are cancelled now, it makes sense for Green to want to be someone who is there from the beginning. Dungeon Crawler Carl and Dinniman are coming to San Diego Comic-Con, so let’s see what new things we learn there.
