Disney Shared its Churros Recipe and It’s So Easy to Make

Disney Parks around the globe have shuttered their doors to help slow the spread of COVID-19. The Mouse House has tried making the closures more bearable for fans by sharing virtual tours of the happiest place on Earth. It’s nice, but it’s not tangible. We can’t feel the wind in our face as we ride Splash Mountain. We can’t give Goofy a big hug, or hold one of those oversized Mickey Mouse ear balloons. But there is one thing we can do to make being stuck inside a little more magical. We can bring one of the best parts of the park into our kitchen, by making Disney’s beloved churros after Disney shared the easy-to-follow recipe.

And even better? You probably already have all the ingredients you need to make them.

To help us deal with coronavirus, the Disney Parks Blog posted Disney Park’s official Churro Bites recipe (which we first came across at Delish). We’re not willing to say what we would do to have a Disney churro right now, so we won’t. But we don’t have to worry about that anyway. It turns out almost everything we need is currently in our kitchen already.

The recipe calls for:

–1 cup water
–8 tablespoons butter
–¼ teaspoon salt
–¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon, divided
–1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
–3 eggs
–1 ½ cups vegetable or canola oil
–½ cup sugar

Seriously, that’s it. And as the accompanying recipe video (which we had no idea was posted previously) shows, it’s not exactly hard to make them. The biggest issue might be having the right tip for your piping bag. You can easily make your own DIY piping bag at home using parchment paper.

Our Disney Churro Bites might end up being misshapen, but if they taste as good as the real ones we won’t care. They’ll still taste magical.
