Chris Hemsworth and Taika Waititi to Narrate Guided Meditations for Kids

Are you ready for some good news today? Chris Hemsworth and Taika Waititi are teaming up once again. No, not for another film, but something equally as cool—we promise. Hemsworth and Waititi are joining forces to offer guided meditations and sleep visualizations specifically for kids. They’re narrating these sessions in hopes of helping kids dealing with anxiety and stress during this uneasy time.

In an Instagram video, Hemsworth announced the project that will be available through Centr, his personalized digital health and fitness program. Centr’s programming includes access to unique workouts, delicious recipes, meditations and sleep visualizations. It also provides entry into Centr’s private Facebook community which provides a nurturing and supportive space for members to engage and share experiences with others from anywhere in the world.

For this new program, Hemsworth stated qualified psychologists will write the guided meditations focusing sleeping habits and positive thoughts. They’re specifically targeting kids aged 4-10. Both Hemsworth and Waititi will narrate them. This particular program from Hemsworth will be available in the Explore section of the Centr program.

In the announcement video, Hemsworth stated his reasoning for starting this particular program during the COVID-19 pandemic. “If you find yourself in a situation like myself, like a lot of people, where you’re having to homeschool your kids and you’re failing miserably. ‘Cause it’s not an easy task, it’s a very, very difficult job, teaching. And I have a boundless, unlimited respect for teachers, globally, universally, and I thank them for that. If you are having this job, a friend of mine suggested doing these guided meditations with them [your kids].”

In true superhero fashion, Hemsworth also stated that there will be six weeks available for free until April 5th! “So jump on board to,” the actor said. “We have six [free] weeks available for you until April 5. So yeah, get involved happy, safe, lots of love.”
