A Cat Steps in as the T-Rex in This JURASSIC PARK Parody

Everyone who owns a cat knows that cats always think they’re the star of the show. And in the last few years, one cat owner has gained fame and followers by actually making their adorable pet cat Lizzy the “star” of several iconic movies. And like any big movie star with their salt, Lizzy has a stage name. On YouTube, she goes by OwlKitty. And OwlKitty’s latest just might be her best yet: she’s a cat in Jurassic Park.

In this newest video, which we discovered via  Boing Boing, they’ve inserted OwlKitty into the first Tyrannosaurus rex scene from Jurassic Park. And she will stop at nothing until she gets those cans of cat food the humans have stashed in that jeep. You can watch OwlKitty terrorize Dr. Grant, Tim, and Lex right here:

This latest video is a return to where it all began for OwlKitty. Her first video that went viral was also a Jurassic Park scene. Only that time, OwlKitty stepped in as a raptor. Since then, she’s appeared in iconic films like Raiders of the Lost Ark, Star Wars, Avengers: Endgame, The Lion King, The Lord of the Rings, and tons more. Maybe one of the best parodies features OwlKitty as the shark in Jaws. Or, in this instance, Claws.

It’s not just famous movies that OwlKitty stars in either. She has conquered the world of TV as well. She joins The Mandalorian on a mission in one video, and she poses with the cast of Friends. And she pulls triple duty as all three dragons from Game of Thrones. OwlKitty even strikes a pose in Madonna’s iconic music video for “Vogue.”

In a behind-the-scenes video, Lizzy’s owner explains just how “DIY” the whole OwlKitty operation is. He says his equipment is “just a rolled-up green screen that’s all wrinkled. And an iPhone on a sh**ty tripod.” Well, with just those things, and one adorable cat, the OwlKitty channel has over 1.15 million subscribers. Never underestimate the power of an adorable cat.
