One-of-a-Kind Skittles Dispensing Bed Selling for Just $1.50

As far as great deals go, being able to taste the rainbow for just a $1.50, the price for a bag of Skittles, is pretty amazing. Sometimes you can’t even get a bottle of water for that amount. And most of the planet is covered with the stuff! But being able to both taste and sleep on a rainbow for a buck-fifty?? That’s a downright steal. A steal one lucky fan is going to eat up very soon. Skittles has teamed up with Simmons for a custom bed that actually dispenses those sweet treats. All at the price for a normal bag of candy.

On December 13 a one-of-a-kind candy bed will be available on a “first come, first serve” basis. The Simmons Sweet Sleep Bed, which has a 10-inch foam mattress, combines slumber with sugar. The bed (which we first saw at HYPEBEAST) doubles as a real Skittles-dispensing machine! Why? Simmons says, “Just for Fun-ZZZ’s!!!” The fact this crossover has us telling you all about both brands probably doesn’t hurt either.

Despite being a real bed, it will come with a price tag you’d find in a convenience store. It’s available for just $1.50. Same as the average price of a bag of Skittles in many spots. The only catch is that Simmons won’t say what time of day it’s going on sale on the 13th. To find out you’ll have to follow Simmons on Instagram and sign up for hints for the exact time.

Any buyer will also need to fulfill some obligations. They must be at least 18 years old and live in the continental US. Sorry to those of you in Puerto Rico, Alaska, Hawaii, and other US territories. Also, the buyer must have a “room, hallways, and doorway that can accommodate the following dimensions” for delivery and installation. For shipping it stands roughly 91-inches high, 51.5/8-inches wide, and 38-inches deep. When the bed is opened it measures around 99-inches wide and 79-inches deep. Also, the bed must be a “semi-permanent” part of your home. So don’t plan on selling it at a 100,000% markup.

Besides, a bag of Skittles might be cheap, but having the only Skittle-dispensing bed is priceless.
