Recently, Kevin Feige brought Avengers: Doomsday to the Shanghai Expo in China. There, he revealed some delicious tidbits about what we can expect from the upcoming MCU event movie. Most excitingly, Feige shared the FIRST real piece of Avengers: Doomsday concept art, which gives us a look at all the heroes from the movie and their relative sizes, teasing their importance. And yes, in the middle, we get our first good look at the X-Men in the movie, who for now, take on the 20th Century forms we know and love. In addition to this, Feige hinted at some Spider-Man: Brand New Day tie-ins, and other fun. You can catch the stream of the event below, though it is a bit laggy. But take in a VERY good version of the Avengers: Doomsday concept art.
Kevin Feige Reveals Avengers: Doomsday Concept Art

Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! By which we mean, Thor, the New Avengers, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, Captain America, Falcon, Ant-Man, Steve Rogers, Shuri, M’Baku, Shang-Chi, and Doctor Doom, oh my! (And Loki lurking in the back.) That’s who we see in this new Avengers: Doomsday concept art revealed by Kevin Feige at the Shanghai Expo. And look at little Gambit, being adorable in the corner. Plus Bucky’s hair is still looking very floofy, as it did in Thunderbolts*. Cute, cute. For the full list of heroes we can expect to see in Avengers: Doomsday, you can check out this piece here. We love seeing all these heroes together for the first time.
Feige noted of the assemblege of heroes, that they’re “putting these characters together that should never really be together.” And further shared, “It’s assembling heroes that might not get along and forcing them to do whats best for the world.” But despite the personal qualms these heroes might have, “Seeing the X-Men, and the Avengers, and the New Avengers and the Fantastic Four together is a dream I never thought would come true.” We bet it will make for one entertaining movie.
Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova will Appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day
Standing at the front of her pack in the Avengers: Doomsday poster is New Avengers’ Yelena Belova, played by Florence Pugh. Pugh will be back from Doomsday, and Feige notes she’ll play “a big part” in that movie. But the MCU boss also let spill that Pugh’s Yelena will return to the MCU before Avengers: Doomsday, sharing “if you don’t want to wait until then, you might see Yelena a little bit sooner in the movies.” And that pretty much confirms that Yelena will appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the only MCU movie that will release before Avengers: Doomsday. That’s an interesting match-up.
Kevin Feige Talks MCU X-Men Beyond Avengers: Doomsday
Of course, we don’t yet see them in the poster, but the X-Men are coming to the MCU with their own movie. In addition to Doomsday talk, Feige offered that the MCU’s first official X-Men movie would arrive after Avengers: Secret Wars (coming our way in December 2027.) No firm details were revealed yet, but Feige hinted that the women who make up the X-Men would be critical to the movie.
Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. Say Hello
Finally, on top of the Feige fun, Avengers: Doomsday and long-time MCU stars, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, and Robert Downey Jr. all said hello to Avengers fans everywhere, promising this movie would be the franchise’s best one yet. We bet!
When Does Avengers: Doomsday Release?
