Artist Imagines WANDAVISION’s Evan Peters as Mephisto

The recent appearance of Evan Peters as Pietro Maximoff/Quicksilver in WandaVision has Marvel fans everywhere in a tizzy. Could this really be the speedster from the X-Men universe transported to the MCU? Or is he actually the demonic Mephisto in disguise? Or, better yet, is he the spirit of Mephisto possessing the body of the Quicksilver from an alternate universe? There are lots of possibilities here, folks.

Whatever the final answer may be, the idea that Peters is the infamous Marvel version of Beelzebub has taken the fandom by storm. And now, artist and God of War art director Raf Grassetti has envisioned what Evan Peters as Mephisto could possibly look like. And we love this new devilish design a whole hell of a lot. (Sorry, we couldn’t resist).

Other recent work by Grassetti shows what an MCU version of Galactus and Silver Surfer could look like. We say with confidence that the Grassetti design for the Devourer of Worlds is already way better than the cosmic cloud in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Who thought that was a good idea? We’re crossing our fingers the eventual MCU iterations of these two wind up looking like his versions. No more clouds, please.

Grasseti’s name probably sounds familiar to you. A few months back, the artist envisioned what a reimagined X-Men could look like in their eventual MCU revival. His designs are far more similar to those in the classic X-Men: The Animated Series. Recently, Grassetti has said he plans to continue his X-Men designs with more characters. Maybe even some mutant villains.
