R-Rated SPIDER-MAN Brings Blood and Guts to Marvel’s Multiverse

Spider-Man has gone through many incarnations throughout his time on the big screen. He’s lived as Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, Tom Holland, and most recently, all three at once in the MCU’s Spider-Man: No Way Home. These Spider-Mans experienced different trials and tribulations in their respective Marvel universes, but they were all pretty good at their jobs. However, a viral video by Corridor Crew asks, what if they weren’t? With great power comes a lot of guts going everywhere. This R-rated Spider-Man video takes footage from Maguire, Garfield, and Holland’s Spider-Man movies and makes it much, much bloodier.

Of course, although the guts and gore are absorbing, watching Corridor Crew create this vision of Spider-Man is equally fascinating. In addition to the delightfully disgusting final products, the VFX artists walk us through exactly what their process is like when it comes to bringing their vision to life. It takes true talent to so effortlessly dismantle scenes from existing movies and then create something new altogether. One minute, Tom Holland is gliding along as the MCU’s web-slinger, the next, he’s nothing but a pile of Spider-meat viscera. Gnarly, but excellent.

For those who want the more concentrated version of the R-rated Spider-Man experience, Twitter is here to help you out.

Splat. Crash. Rip. You get the picture. Our special favorite part of the video has to be watching Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man experience his arms get absolutely shredded. The way the new VFX works with the existing footage is uncanny.

The MCU’s Multiverse takes us to many different places, but we still haven’t technically visited an R-rated plane of existence. But, with new parental controls on Disney+, the world is our oyster. So maybe we’ll see this bloody, R-rated vision of Spider-Man come fully to life one day, guts and all.
