Disney’s Frozen has become the wholesome fairy tale of choice for this generation. Just go to any of the Disney Parks, and you’ll see ten little girls dressed up as Anna or Elsa for every one Snow White or Jasmine. And Frozen is so visually pure as snow (pun fully intended) even the villain looks like a traditional good guy. So thankfully, someone has come along to give Frozen some much-needed darkness. And just in time for the spooky season.
Via The A.V. Club, we’ve discovered a video from artist Jordan Persegati, who makes creepy horror versions of cute children’s favorites on his YouTube channel. And now, he’s taken a two dollar Frozen coloring book and brought Halloweentown to the kingdom of Arendelle. (So to speak). You can watch the full video right here.
Starting things off, he makes Olaf the Snowman into a creature of the same proportions made of flesh and blood. Throw some stringy, creepy hair on him, and we have the Disney version of Samara from The Ring. “Do you wanna build a snowman?” Umm, not if he looks like this! The rock troll also looks conjured from some nightmare scenario. But the creepiest makeover? When Anna gets turned into something resembling Linda Blair from The Exorcist. And it’s a nice touch to use The Exorcist theme for her reveal moment.

Persegati has a ton of other “cute to creepy” videos on his channel. The McDonaldland characters are another example of some that are just super terrifying, with a Five Nights at Freddy’s Makeover. Well, Ronald McDonald was already kind of creepy, but now he’s way worse. And there are similar horror makeover videos for Thomas the Tank Engine, Dora the Explorer, and even My Little Pony. Watching any one of these is sure to get one in the Halloween spirit. Just maybe don’t watch with your kids. You might traumatize them a teeny tiny bit.
