The Xbox One X Is the Most Powerful Home Console Ever Made

Microsoft has finally revealed the next console in the Xbox lineage, the Xbox One X. Formerly known as Project Scorpio, Microsoft is touting the Xbox One X as the most powerful console to ever be made. It’ll allow you to play games in true 4K and features a whopping 6 teraflops of computing goodness and 12 GB of GDDR5 Ram. In layman’s terms, this kitty can purr. Take a gander at the clip below for the official reveal.

You can nab one of these bad boys for $499 come November 7, 2017.

As Microsoft promised, this console will be completely backwards compatible with Xbox One games, so you don’t have to worry about starting your X collection from scratch. The new hardware is also compatible with all of your Xbox One accessories. Microsoft is really doing this right. You’ll also notice that the console looks a lot like the Xbox One S, but it’s actually smaller. What kind of engineering black magic they conjured to make this happen is beyond me.

Those that haven’t upgraded to a 4K have nothing to worry about because the X will help your current games run better as well with quicker load times and minor upgrades. It’s something.

With new gaming machines, comes new games, so witch titles are you hopping come exclusively to the console (other than Halo and Gears)? Do you care about all the power the X is packing? Is this what you wanted from Project Scorpio? Are you ready for the 4K revolution? Drop your thoughts in the comments section below.
