This March, Godzilla and Kong will face off in an epic showdown in the Monsterverse’s latest entry, Godzilla vs. Kong. In addition to a super-sized slugfest, this movie will seemingly confirm another major component of the Monsterverse: the Hollow Earth Theory. First introduced in Kong: Skull Island, the theory has subtly been built up in the lore of the series to explain the origin of these massive monsters. However, the idea of a Hollow Earth actually has ties to a history of real world conspiracies dating back to the seventeenth century.
