Over the past several years, we’ve seen some truly excellent nerd cakes based on our favorite properties—everything from BB-8 and the Death Star from Star Wars, to the Tardis from Doctor Who, to even the One Ring from the Lord of the Rings. And if monsters are more your jam, in the realm of horror movie themed cakes, we’ve seen the Necronomicon from the Evil Dead movies and even Pinhead’s box from Hellraiser.
But this latest horror themed cake spotted in the UK simply, well, takes the cake (sorry about that. I had to go there).
My mum sent me this picture of a cake – yes, it’s a cake – in a bakery window in England. Perfect for any kid’s birthday party, don’t you think? pic.twitter.com/jqeijGtnBJ

Inspired by everyone’s favorite sewer-dwelling evil clown Pennywise from last year’s big screen adaptation of the Stephen King classic It, this is one cake you’ll be happy to take a knife to, if only because it looks that creepily accurate. This latest creation was seen in the window of a bakery by the British mum of Canadian Twitter user Rio Youers, who sent him a photo, which you can see above.
Whoever made this cake deserves all the accolades, as it is a dead ringer for Pennywise actor Bill Skarsgård. If someone surprised me with this cake on my birthday, I’d half expect it to start asking me if I’d like to come down to the sewers and float. And then I’d scream and toss it out a window. You’ve got to hand it to Pennywise; even though the character only has one movie to his name so far (the original 1990 TV mini-series not withstanding), he’s has joined the Hall of Fame of horror movie greats. You deserve that cake, you silly clown, you.
Would you want someone to give you a Pennywise cake on your birthday? If so, please let us know down below in the comments.
