DC Comics has had decades of different fast-food tie-ins, from Super Powers to Batman: The Animated Series and beyond. But this latest fast-food promotion featuring the DC Comics heroes from Wendy’s is just delightfully weird. The DC RIDES! Kids’ Meals feature one iconic DC hero figure, paired with one of their villainous doppelgängers from the comics. While some of these figures have well-known hero/villain pairings, like Superman and Bizarro, some are far more obscure and interesting. You can check out images of the new DC Rides Kids’ Meals toys down below:
Each Wendy’s Kids’ Meal now comes with a DC RIDES! action figure, which includes an iconic member of the Justice League, along with one of their villainous variants. You can get a figure one order at a time to complete the whole set. The featured duos include Superman and Bizarro, Supergirl and Bizarro Supergirl (naturally), Wonder Woman and the ’90s era replacement Wonder Woman, Artemis, Green Lantern and Sinestro, along with Flash and Reverse-Flash. The most wonderfully odd inclusion is Batman with Tlano, the obscure Batman of the alien world Zur-En-Arrh, who first appeared in the ’50s, before Grant Morrison brought him back in a psychedelic story in the 2000s.

According to Wendy’s, the new initiative brings together some of the most recognizable superheroes and super-villains, “offering a highly engaging, collectible experience designed to resonate with families and fans alike.” While we think kids will love these, we know many adult DC Comics collectors out there will want to get their hands on the Batman of Zur-En-Arrh. We love that he and Batman have the exact same grumpy expression. Also, some fans will definitely want a toy of Artemis. Especially as Artemis is less of a villain and more of a Wonder Woman adjacent anti-hero. These figures are now available at participating Wendy’s locations nationwide.
