The World of Darkness is shapeshifting into an entirely new form on the tabletop: an expandable card game! Renegade Game Studios, Paradox Interactive, and White Wolf Entertainment have teamed up to create a card game based on Vampire: The Masquerade to give players an entirely new, immersive experience in the World of Darkness.
While there aren’t any details on the card game or gameplay itself, we do know that keeping the masquerade seems to be an important part of the game based on the all-too-brief, highly atmospheric teaser released at Gen Con.
“Vampire: The Masquerade – The Expandable Card Game will offer tabletop gamers a new way to experience the intrigue and politics of Kindred society, as well as the hunger pangs of The Beast within,” says the game’s announcement. We’re already dying to play.
If you need more Vampire: The Masquerade in your life while you wait for more details, bide the time by catching up on L.A. By Night! Led by Storyteller Jason Carl, L.A. By Night is a dark tale of personal horror and inhuman conspiracy that sees four vampires doing their best to navigate the macabre affairs and terrifying realities of surviving the L.A. night. The series just wrapped up its third season, so there’s no better time to join in for a bloody good time.
And if you’re looking for more Renegade Game Studios fun, let Becca Scott and friends show you how it’s done in the Game the Game episodes featuring Gunkimono, Ex Libris, and Architects of the West Kingdom!
