TOY STORY 4 Trailer Gives Us More Ducky and Bunny

The toys are back in town again! And while we’re fairly certain that whatever happens, they’ll make us cry somehow, the new trailer cranks up the sass with the return of Key and Peele’s Ducky and Bunny. There’s no sign of Forky, which is a bummer: we have so many questions, and we’re disappointed he doesn’t have a ton of Disney-Pixar merchandise already, but it is only a matter of time. And then there’ll be a mass-produced Forky action figure, and we’ll wonder about when it gains sentience versus a handmade one. Sporkception!

The toys in this adventure decide to visit a carnival, where they encounter fun new characters and perilous situations. Bo Peep is back, wielding her shepherd’s crook like Star Wars‘ Rey, but Buzz, despite being an actual expensive and valuable action figure, has been mistaken for a cheap midway game prize. To Ducky and Bunny, who are actual prize catches, literally, this is clearly an affront. Somewhere along the way, they’ll re-learn the importance of being toys, and friends, and stars of an awesome franchise (okay, so the last one is something WE discover. Whatevs.).

This is the new official synopsis: “Woody (voice of Tom Hanks) has always been confident about his place in the world, and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. So when Bonnie’s beloved new craft-project-turned-toy, Forky (voice of Tony Hale), declares himself as “trash” and not a toy, Woody takes it upon himself to show Forky why he should embrace being a toy. But when Bonnie takes the whole gang on her family’s road trip excursion, Woody ends up on an unexpected detour that includes a reunion with his long-lost friend Bo Peep (voice of Annie Potts). After years of being on her own, Bo’s adventurous spirit and life on the road belie her delicate porcelain exterior. As Woody and Bo realize they’re worlds apart when it comes to life as a toy, they soon come to find that’s the least of their worries. ”
