The Boys just wrapped up its fourth season, which ended with quite the heartbreaking and chaotic bang. Homelander rules America with President Calhoun under his thumb, Victoria Neuman is dead, and most of the Boys are unjustly in custody. We know that next season will be the show’s final round but this universe is continuously expanding. Creator and showrunner Eric Kripke previously told us that there would be more spinoffs in The Boys universe to join Gen V and, at San Diego Comic-Con, he revealed the next one coming. The upcoming The Boys spinoff will be Vought Rising, a show starring Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy and Aya Cash reprising her role as Stormfront. The duo came out to share the big news with fans onstage in Hall H.
We had our personal wish list of spinoffs and this The Boys one was basically on our list. According to Deadline, Vought Rising is a prequel series that will take place in the 1950s and follow the early days of Solider Boy.
“It’s a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 1950s, the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical maneuvers of a Supe known to fans as Stormfront, who was then going by the name Clara Vought,” said Eric Kripke and The Boys series executive producer Paul Grellong, who will be the executive producer and showrunner for Vought Rising. “We cannot wait to blow your minds and trouble your souls with this salacious, grisly saga drenched in blood and Compound V.”
Right now, there are no further details about when The Boys spinoff Vought Rising is coming. However, we do know that Gen V will arrive in 2025, so we can rest assured that we will continue to get bloody goodness from this universe.
