Fifty years after their first encounter kicked off several decades of DC/Marvel crossovers, the Man of Steel and the Wallcrawler are joining forces once again in Superman/Spider-Man #1. Writer Mark Waid and artist Jorge Jiménez join forces to headline DC’s Superman/Spider-Man #1 with an unforgettable lead story. You can check out the official synopsis for Superman/Spider-Man #1, which hits comic book shops in March 2026, below:
When journalists Clark Kent and Peter Parker find themselves chasing the same story, the conspiracy they uncover could change the world—especially if Brainiac and Doctor Octopus have anything to say about it. (And we bet they do!) Good thing our intrepid newshounds are secretly Superman and the amazing Spider-Man.

And down below in our gallery, you can check out the main cover for Superman/Spider-Man #1 from Jorge Jiménez. You can also take a peek at variants from Jim Lee, Stanley “Artgerm” Lau, David Talaski, and many others.
DC’s Superman/Spider-Man #1 will also include several bonus stories, all featuring DC and Marvel characters. Tom King and Jim Lee tell a tale of Lois Lane and Mary Jane Watson. Another by Matt Fraction and Steve Lieber revisits Superman’s pal Jimmy Olsen…and Carnage!? That one’s out of left field. Sean Murphy takes us to the future with Superboy (and the Legion) and Spider-Man 2099. Uncanny X-Men writer Gail Simone teams up with Belén Ortega for a look at what happens when Power Girl meets Punisher.

In addition, writer Christopher Priest and artist Daniel Sampere show us a time when Superboy Prime (who reads all the comics!) decided to visit Spider-Man right after he got the black suit. And the former Wonder Woman creative team of Greg Rucka and Nicola Scott takes us on an exciting race between the Daily Planet and the Daily Bugle. There’s even a team-up between Clark’s Pa Kent and Peter’s Uncle Ben. Maybe we have to wait for the next crossover for the inevitable Aunt May and Ma Kent meetup.
DC Comics’ Superman/Spider-Man #1 comes out on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. It will retail for $7.99 US, and $8.99 US for the cardstock variant covers.
