Although Stranger ThingsOpens in a new tab fans have come to love the series as more than a simple throwback to 1980s horror and adventure flicks, there’s no denying that nostalgia for this era of chill-laden pop culture is what roped many viewers into the show to begin with. In priming for season two, producers have opted to lean deep into Stranger Things‘ spiritual tether to the great thrillers of and around the era; on Thursday, the Netflix program’s official Twitter account released an array of original posters, each of which pays homage to a different horror, slasher, or sci-fi epic from the late ’70s or ’80s.
