Take a Trip to a Virtual STAR WARS Museum

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is now so close we can almost taste it (and for the record, it tastes just like blue milk). But aside from having another Star Wars movie marathon or buying a ton of BB-8 merch, what can fans do to satiate their galactic needs until the big day comes on December 15?

Well, beginning on Saturday, December 9, the virtual Hollywood Art Museum, using Sansar, will be the place to view exclusive historic production art from the franchise, engage with other fans, and join some exciting virtual social events from the comfort of their own home. You can stay in your Jedi pajamas and experience the museum from home.Sansar is the world’s leading social VR platform. By using highly detailed avatars, visitors will be able to explore the 3D museum together with other Star Wars fans from around the world, using VR headsets like the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive or PCs.

Opening to the public on December 9, the Hollywood Art Museum’s first exhibition is a unique collection of Star Wars production pieces from museum creator Greg Aronowitz’s private collection, including the very first drawings made for the film franchise and never-before-seen production art from the original trilogy by Lucasfilm alum, legendary names like Joe Johnston, Ralph McQuarrie, Phil Tippett, Drew Struzan, Colin Cantwell, and others, all of whom helped to create the Star Wars aesthetic we know and love today.

You can get details on how to access the museum  by following Hollywood Art Museum on Instagram.

Are you as excited for this museum exhibit as we are? Be sure to let us know your thoughts below in the comments.
