Fight the Empire With STAR WARS Boxing Gloves

There’s really no kind of Star Wars merchandise that could surprise us at this point. You can outfit your entire kitchen in galaxy far, far away decor if you like. And that seems totally reasonable compared to a candle that smells like the inside of a Tauntaun. Yet, despite all of the many, varied products that celebrate our favorite space saga, the latest item we came across still “strikes” us as an unlikely crossover. Because you can fight the Empire by actually fighting them with Star Wars boxing gloves.

Sanabul, which makes professional-grade sports equipment, has announced that it is adding three limited-edition Sticker Bomb Boxing Gloves to their Star Wars collection. They are made from a non-leather, synthetic performance fabric outer material. The three styles include: Rebels, Imperial, and HUD (heads-up display).

While we love the colors and patterns of the other two, we’re especially partial to the HUD gloves. It seems only fitting to knock your opponent out with a targeted shot.

Each pair comes in one of three available sizes: 8-ounce, 12-ounce, and 14-ounce. All three sizes retail for $64.99. That’s a slight increase over Sanabul’s original line of Star Wars boxing gloves. Those pairs ($59.99) are available in 12 and 14 ounces and come in four styles. You can box while honoring R2-D2, Darth Vader, Rebels, or Stormtroopers. Their designs are more streamlined/less busy than the splash style of the new Sticker Bomb gloves.

And if you really want to enter a fighting pit with some Gamorreans, Sanabul also has Star Wars-inspired compression wear. You can get workout tights and a short sleeve rash guard. Both come in either Rebels white, Empire Black, or in black with the Star Wars logo.

Like with all Star Wars merch, the more we look at these items they less weird they seem. It’s only right a boxer should be able to step into the ring and celebrate some of the bravest, fiercest warriors in any galaxy. And hopefully when they do, their opponent will be a stormtrooper. Those guys can’t hit anything.
