SPIDER-NOIR Teaser Trailer Is Bleak, Bold, and Brilliant

Nicolas Cage taking on the role of Spider-Noir in a Prime Video series felt like a win from day one. He’s an excellent character actor who can swing from forlorn to funny in the blink of an eye. And in the trailer for Spider-Noir, we get a dash of both as the 1930s black and white world of Ben Reilly comes to life as well as a release date for this series.

The cool thing about Prime Video’s promotion of this live-action TV series is that it is giving us both the classic black and white viewpoint of his universe as well as a true-hue version. But, I truly prefer the trailer for Spider-Noir in black and white. There’s something a little more gritty and bleak yet intriguing about that perspective. In the clip, Ben talks about how his journey began with tics, thoughts, and impulses that he was able to suppress them most of the time…until he couldn’t. The series tagline says “With no power comes no responsibility,” which means we are in for a wild ride with this guy.
