SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Totally Includes Topher Grace’s Venom

Kidding! Unless… No, really, this casting probably only exists in our imaginations. But honestly, if this joke had truth in it, we wouldn’t even feel surprised. Especially because No Way Home has had a slew of casting rumors circulating around it since the get-go. With the MCU’s Multiverse expanding, more hijinks than ever could ensue in Spider-Man: No Way HomeAnd though Topher Grace in No Way Home appears to joke, it’s always hard to tell when it comes to Marvel.

Everyone from Andrew Garfield to Tobey Maguire to Tom Hardy has had their name linked to No Way Home. Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane Watson and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy have also been a part of the rumor mill. Every day someone else is purported to act in No Way Home. Of course, no one has confirmed anything. Until now. Topher Grace, it seems, is the only person in the Spider-Verse with any bravery. Or, the 99% more likely version, he has a great sense of humor. Grace, of course, played Venom in Spider-Man 3. A casting made all the better by the much-memed resemblance between Maguire and Grace.

Side by side of Tom Holland's Spider-Man and Topher Grace's Venom - could No Way Home feature Topher Grace?

Marvel Studios/Sony

Here’s what Grace shared in a recent Reddit AMA, which we first saw on SYFY Now:

Please keep it between us but yes, I am in it. The plot starts with Peter Parker (Tom Holland) bummed that everyone knows his identity and then some crazy shit happens with Dr. Strange and Dr. Octopus (Alfred Molina) comes into his dimension. Then Electro and the Green Goblin hop out of one of those ‘energy circles’ and they’re like “It’s spider stompin time”. Then Tom Hardy and I pop out and battle each other and I win (obvi), it’s like not even a fight I just kick his ass immediately. Not to give too much away but there are also some actors from the original 70s Spiderman show, Aquaman and Batman (Affleck, not Keaton) crossover, and thanks to Disney Han Solo’s ghost from Rise of Skywalker, and that Eve robot from Wall-E. Again, please keep between us.

You know, Grace might kid today, but tomorrow, who knows. We think, though, that if the original ’70s The Amazing Spider-Man characters do appear in No Way Home, there should also be an homage to That ’70s Show slipped in. Canon double Venom, double the fun, and canon Eric Forman. Is the Multiverse strong enough? We may never know. Or maybe we will. If Topher Grace appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home, we’d cheer him on! Everybody in on the No Way Home adventure.
