Creepy is kind of hot. We didn’t need seven Scream movies to understand that. We’ve been saying there’s something sexy about the Ghostface mask since the jump. But one person who definitely doesn’t agree with our assessment is Neve Campbell’s Sidney Prescott. In Scream 7, both Neve Campbell and Sidney Prescott have been dragged back into the world of terror and stabbing for another round. What will be on the table for Sidney and her family, which now includes a daughter, in Scream 7? We couldn’t say for sure. But this final Scream 7 trailer makes one thing very clear: Sidney Prescott’s daughter, played by Isabel May, is Ghostface’s number one target. But who is behind the mask this time? Even though some notable Ghostface actors are returning for Scream 7, we bet there’s a human person beneath the mask… And Sidney’s ghosts are just in her head. If Scream did pull a sudden turn into the supernatural, though, we wouldn’t be that mad at it either.
For now, all we know with certainty is the synopsis that comes along with the final Scream 7 trailer, which shares, “When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has built a new life, her darkest fears are realized as her daughter (Isabel May) becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all.“
“Once and for all” seems like an unlikely sentiment. But we’re not mad at that either. We’re all in for creepy and Ghostface… However many times he’d like to come back from the dead. Scream 7 releases in theaters on February 27, 2025.
