Samuel L. Jackson’s Mace Windu Returns in Statue Form

Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi is returning to the galaxy far, far away. Before that Boba Fett climbed out of the Sarlacc Pit and got his own show. And in The Rise of Skywalker Emperor Palpatine himself came back. Somehow. Now Samuel L. Jackson wants in on the resurrections. He recently said he spoke to Star Wars director Bryce Dallas Howard about bringing back Mace Windu. Whether or not that happens remains to be seen. But you don’t need Lucasfilm if you want to see him again. A new limited-edition collectible statue from Gentle Giant will let you keep Mace Windu on hand.

Gentle Giant’s newest Premier Collection release (which we originally saw at /Film) is a realistic recreation of the Jedi who learned firsthand where Anakin’s allegiances lied. Standing nearly 11-inches tall, Mace Windu holds his signature purple lightsaber during the Battle of Geonosis. That epic fight, which featured countless Jedi, kicked off the Clone Wars. It’s also where Mace beheaded Jango Fett. The statue commemorates that memorable death by placing Jango’s helmet at Mace’s feet.

(No, the bounty hunter’s head is not inside. This is screen accurate. In Attack of the Clones Jango’s head popped out on the way to the ground. A horrifying moment revealed by the clever use of shadows. Well, young Boba probably didn’t find that clever.)

If you want to add this Mace ($175) to your own collection don’t wait to pre-order yours. This piece is limited to just 3000 pieces total. Each comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity inside a full-color box. And each order is limited to two, with available shipping to the US, Canada, EMEA, Japan, South Korea, Brazil, Mexico, Russia, and the AU. Expect to get yours in. August.

As for the actual Mace Windu, we have no idea if he there’s ever going to be an ETA for his unlikely Star Wars return. But even if he does come back this statue will have something the real version doesn’t – both hands.
