Last year, Universal Studios Hollywood introduced Fan Fest Nights, which brought various beloved IP into the park. Last year saw Star Trek, Back to the Future, and more as part of the immersive fan event. Anime and manga were big last year too with properties like One Piece and Jujutsu Kaisen: Hunger of the Cursed. And with this year’s event, the anime influence goes old school with the addition of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon the Miracle: Moon Palace Chapter Deluxe, an all-original Japanese manga and CG anime short film that originally debuted as part of Universal Studios Japan’s popular Cool Japan.

This Japanese-language short film will play for park guests within the DreamWorks Theatre. There, fans can watch a subtitled version featuring heroine Super Sailor Moon. In the film, Sailor Moon does battle with an unforeseen enemy with sinister motives. This is all to acquire the Legendary Silver Crystal from Moon Palace’s enchanting ball. Accompanied by audience support, Super Sailor Moon “will prove that good indeed prevails over evil as she outwits her rival and restores tranquility to the Moon Palace.”

Other experiences include Scooby-Doo Meets the Universal Monsters, featuring the Mystery, Inc. gang on a tour of the backlot. The same place where so many classic monster films were shot nearly a century ago. ONE PIECE also returns, this time with a live show in the WaterWorld area with ONE PIECE: Grand Pirate Show. In addition, Dungeons & Dragons returns with Secrets of Waterdeep. This fan-favorite immersive experience returns due to popular demand, along with some new enhancements. Universal Fan Fest Nights is an after-hours, separately ticketed event. The event also features photo ops, character interactions, and special food and drink offerings.
Universal Fan Fest Nights runs April 23-25; May 1-3, 7-9, 14-16. You can purchase tickets by clicking here.
