Dune: Part Three is one of our most anticipated sequel films. Footage from it looks phenomenal and brings back many familiar faces, including Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica. But, if you’re thinking that you’ll see her a lot in this final installment, think again. During a recent interview on Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast, Ferguson revealed that Lady Jessica will only have one scene in Dune: Part Three.
“The script is great, I’ve read it. I think it’s going to be fantastic, but my journey was number one and two,” Ferguson said. “I don’t even think [Lady Jessica] was supposed to be in three, and then Denis was like, ‘I need to have one scene.’ And I get one scene.”
I mean, this does make sense. Dune: Part Three is based off of the novel Dune Messiah, and the Reverend Mother is not in that one at all. Ferguson did lament the lack of screentime, saying that she had some serious FOMO. But we are sure that she will find solace in probably making a lot of money to not have to do very much. That’s truly life goals. Dune: Part Three will hit theaters on December 18.
