Prime Video’s Tomb Raider series has hit a snag during filming, and we truly hate to hear it. The series, which stars Sophie Turner as the famous Lara Croft, has halted production because she’s healing from an injury. It’s not clear if this happened while she was on set or elsewhere, but it would be really hard to portray an athletic adventure and archaeologist while dealing with an injury. Deadline reports that Prime Video is shutting down production on Tomb Raider for two weeks, but the crew will still get paid.
Filming started back in January 2026 in the U.K. “Sophie Turner recently experienced a minor injury,” the studio told Deadline. “As a precaution, production has briefly paused to allow her time to recover. We look forward to resuming production as soon as possible.”
Hopefully, Sophie Turner will heal from whatever injury she’s grappling with soon. The first photo of her as Lara Croft already has us hype to see this video game franchise get a fresh live-action adaptation. And, as the people say, the show must go on once she’s ready to step back on set.
