This year marks the 85th anniversary of Batman and the entire world of characters he introduced to DC Comics. A big part of his world is his incredible Gotham City rogues’ gallery. Up near the top of that iconic grouping of villains are Poison Ivy and her lovely girlfriend Harley Quinn. Now, these two deadly ladies (who are occasionally good guys) are getting their own collector’s edition Batman Barbie dolls. Each doll costs $55.00 and you can order both of them from the Mattel Shop. Check out the first images of the Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy Gotham City Siren Barbie dolls, and read their official descriptions, down below:
Poison Ivy Batman Barbie Doll
Meet the Queen of Green from Gotham City, Poison Ivy. Part woman, part plant, her hybrid DNA shows in every detail of our doll, from her vibrant chlorophyll-colored skin to her verdant eyes. But don’t be fooled by her natural beauty—with a wrist-mounted crossbow and ferocious Venus flytrap, she’s ready to defend the environment at all times. Poison Ivy’s organically inspired touches contrast with her flowing red hair and ruby lips. Toxic venom is not included. A leaf-like crown and earrings complete the plant-themed look, while her crossbow hand stays poised and ready. We need this Batman Barbie, stat!
Harley Quinn Batman Barbie Doll
Knock knock! It’s the Clown Princess of Crime, Harley Quinn, in Batman Barbie form. The punchline is, she’s got her mallet with her and she’s ready to bust in wherever she pleases. With bouncy pigtails, a black-and-red outfit, and a mischievous grin, this Harley Quinn doll brings together the modern and classic looks of the beloved baddie. Could you ask for anything more, puddin’? Mismatched black and red elbow and knee pads give Harley a rough-and-tumble look that matches her superhuman acrobatic abilities. A choker, earrings, and studded belt bring a bit of flair, because it’s nice to look good while you’re doing bad.
Will we get more Batman Barbies soon? We’re hoping for Batgirl, Huntress, and Catwoman in the near future. Gotham has no shortage of badass ladies who would make for truly amazing Barbie dolls.
